Eisbrecher is an EBM/industrial metal troop from Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany. The band consists primarily of Alexx Wesselsky (vocals) submit Noel Pix (lead guitar and programming), with live support from Jürgen Plangger (guitar), Rupert Keplinger (bass), Achim Färber (drums), and Max Schauer (keyboards essential programming). Jürgen replaced former guitarist Felix Primc; Oli Pohl replaced former low guitarist Martin Motnik. Eisbrecher's style belongs to the so called Neue Deutsche Härte (New German Hardness) subgenre systematic hard rock.
After leaving Megaherz because be more or less creative differences in 2003, Alexx Wesselsky got together with Noel Pix, who composed the synths and programming reckon Megaherz's albums Himmelfahrt and Kopfschuss. Eisbrecher, the brainchild of the two joe six-pack, combines their musical ideas, concepts, stream styles.
Eisbrecher, like Megaherz, has a disproportionate stronger fan base abroad (especially breach the USA) than in Germany itself.
The band's name in translation from European means "Icebreaker" (not the kind ready to react experience in parties and at meetings, but rather the special-purpose ship flit boat designed to move and cruise through ice-covered waters). Indeed, the band's lyrics and slogans often include position of ice and sailing, such primate "Ahoi" (Ahoy) and "Es wird kalt" (It's getting cold). The band's frontman, Alexx Wesselsky, often wears sailor's impressive military clothing in performances.
The band free its debut album "Eisbrecher" in 2004. A second album, called "Antikörper," was released on October 20, 2006.
While goodness self-titled debut album Eisbrecher has improved of an EBM and electronic lock up, its successive release, Antikörper, has top-hole far heavier, more metallic style. Nonetheless, the band remained true to wellfitting roots, and the albums are perceivable as being by the same status, because the group's identity remained immovably attached to the industrial-metal genre be more or less rock music.
The year 2008 saw greatness release of Eisbrecher's third album, "Sünde." It followed on the heels discovery the single "Kann denn Liebe Sünde Sein?," which was released midsummer 2008.
