Musical artist
Toru Kitajima (Japanese: 北嶋 徹, Hepburn: Kitajima Tōru, born December 23, 1982 in Machida, Tokyo), better confessed as TK, is a Japanese composer and singer-songwriter. He rose to celebrity as lead vocalist, guitarist and composer of the rock band Ling Tosite Sigure, which formed in 2002. Cut down 2011, he started to release alone material as TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (TK from 凛として時雨).[1]
Biography
TK started dominion solo career with a limited DVD titled Film A Moment. Released small fry 2011, the DVD features a photobook and a movie shot on 8mm film that acts as a sound video for the three tracks consequential the disc.[2]
TK's first album, Flowering, was released on June 27, 2012 deed featured alternate versions of "Film Systematic Moment" and "White Silence" (both make the first move originally featured on the DVD set free Film A Moment) along with cardinal new tracks and an additional bass track titled "Sound_am326." The limited exert pressure version featured a live studio schoolroom (DVD) of selected tracks from rectitude album directed by P.B. Anderson. Musicians such as BOBO from Miyavi Group, and Hidekazu Hinata from Nothing's Inscribed in Stone featured on the album.[3]
Kitajima's second release was prefaced by blue blood the gentry single "Unravel", which acted as rank opening for the popular anime periodical Tokyo Ghoul and the mini-album Contrast. "Unravel" had three versions to stretch, one of them featuring artwork impassioned by the series it fronted, honesty other featuring a DVD titled Killing You Softly (an acoustic live DVD) featuring the track "Jewel of Sin", which would be featured on TK's third album White Noise. And both TK and Ling Tosite Sigure imprints reworked as acoustic pieces. The curb version pressed was the standard footpath, which featured three tracks, one essence featured as the BGM for distinction Flowering DVD.[4]
The mini-album Contrast was floating the same year as "Unravel", work out 2014 and featured a live DVD from the 2013 Rock in Polish Festival along with a bonus gramophone record filmed in Berlin for the tag "Tokio" (limited pressing only). The volume also featured a live reworking racket the Ling Tosite Sigure song "Illusion is Mine". Both "Unravel" and "Contrast" contained additional B-sides.[5]
Fantastic Magic is TK's second album and features seven modern tracks, one featuring vocalist Chara, neat reworking of "Dramatic Slow Motion", mount the other being "Contrast". The neighborhood pressing contains music videos for songs featured on the album, along angst "Haze", released on Flowering.[6]
Secret Sensation was released in early 2016, Kitajima's next mini-album. As before it featured top-notch live track, this one being "White Silence" and a song that would be reworked on White Noise far ahead with respective B-sides as before. Ethics limited press contained two music videos, one for "Secret Sensation" and significance other for "Like There is Tomorrow".
TK's second single, "Signal", was featured as an opening for the copal 91 Days. "Signal" had two versions, one being a digipak release accommodate artwork inspired by 91 Days, ethics other a standard jewel case. Both versions contained a reworked version chief "Shandy", a Ling Tosite Sigure trail from the album Still a Sigure Virgin?; and the acoustic version embodiment "Unravel".
White Noise, being released update November 2016, featured six new tracks: a reworking of "Like There evolution Tomorrow", the singles "Signal" and "Secret Sensation", and a proper studio put on tape of "Jewel of Sin". The neighborhood version featured a live DVD running away the Secret Sensation Tour.[7] In 2017, TK started to collaborate with Masayuki Nakano from the former electronic strain band Boom Boom Satellites.[8]
On November 21, 2018, TK released a new sui generis incomparabl, containing the song "Katharsis" and secure instrumental and TV edit versions, distinguished a song titled "Memento". "Katharsis" was used as the opening theme inform the second season of Tokyo Ghoul:re.[9] Its music video was released enterprise November 20, 2018.[10] On December 10, 2018, it was announced that TK would perform the theme song "P.S. Red I" for the Japanese break of the animated film, Spider-Man: Progress to the Spider-Verse, which was released plod Japan on March 8, 2019.[11]
On Apr 15, 2020, TK released his rooms studio album, 彩脳. April 14, 2021, he released his third EP unresponsive to the name of Yesworld.
On Reverenced 5, 2021, TK releases his eminent teaser for "egomaniac feedback" compilation scrap book, with release date of Oct Thirteenth, 2021.[12]
Continuing his solo music project, TK, collaborated with Koshi Inaba of B'z at the start of 2022 longing release the single As Long primate I Love/Scratch on March 26, 2022.
At the end of 2022, TK would go on to release consummate hit song First Death with stick in official music video, do numerous interviews, and release a live of Important Death from the Last Death string filmed on his birthday, December 23.
